Brandon Bryant is the next player up in our Jets roster countdown.Name: Brandon BryantNumber: 40Year with Jets: 1stProjected Role: Safety depth and special teamer; practice squad candidateHis 2017: Bryant had a relatively quiet statistical season at Mississippi State Lac Edwards Jersey , registering 32 tackles and 1 interception. It was his offseason that was eventful. Bryant was initially set to return to school for another year but was declared academically ineligible in the spring. It was too late for him to enter the 2018 NFL Draft, but he was able to enter the Supplemental Draft. Bryant generated enough interest for over a dozen teams to take a look but he was undrafted. The Jets signed him.2018 will be a success if: Bryant can either make the practice squad or contribute on special teams and grow as a player. His game needs some development, but the Jets are settled at safety right now. He has the luxury of time to hone his game.Odds of making the roster: The Jets being set at safety is a bit of a double edged sword. It also means there aren’t many roster spots available at the position. This leads me to believe he is Unlikely (25-50%).Jets podcast: Looking back on training camp Today is the end of training camp for the Jets in 2018. The team is set to break camp ahead of its third preseason game against the New York Giants. On today’s podcast we take a look back at an eventful training camp and discuss some of the key developments. The most important of these developments was clearly that the Jets got promising play from two young quarterbacks. Rather than argue which of their two shaky quarterbacks is less bad Quincy Enunwa Jersey , Jets fans have been able to argue which of their two quality quarterbacks is better. We also will discuss some of the positive play of other rookies, one position that showed its lack of depth, one position that potentially looks deeper than we first imagined Steve McLendon Jersey , the unsettled special teams situation, and the frequent injuries of camp. Thanks as always for listening.
